Is it possible to localize Report Manager using satellite assembly

Hi,
I'm trying to localize Report Manager (Reporting Services 2005) by
implementing my own Finnish version of the resources in
ReportingServicesWebUserInterface.dll assembly.
I have the satellite assembly in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.6\Reporting
Services\ReportManager\Bin\fi
I used the Assembly Linker tool (al) to create the assembly and used the
ReportingServicesWebUserInterface.dll in the base directory as the template.
I tried delay signing the assembly using my own key. Then I used the Strong
Name
Utility (sn) to add the assembly to skip verification list.
For some reason my satellite assembly is not loaded when I set my web
browser language to Finnish. If I set it to German it works ok. I have very
little .NET experience by I suspect that is due to the fact that the
sattelite assembly should be signed with the same key as the base assembly?
So is it possible to implement your own language version of the
ReportingServicesWebUserInterface.dll satellite assembly to use it to
localize report manager?
If it is possible is there any document that describes the process and the
related security issues?
If it's not possible then please tell me so that I can make a decision about
developing a new report portal web application. We would like to use the
Report Manager if we only could localize it.

Scractch that. They actually called me instead of emailing, but my phone was

So if anyone else is wondering, if you need to localize Report Manager
easily it's not possible (unless ofcourse you live in one of those
priviledged countries that are provided with localization for it).
I'm off to writing my own report portal application then.|||I actually came up with a solution that is a bit of a hack but will do nicely
and let's me use the Report Manager. Just add the code below to all of the
aspx pages under the Report Manager\Pages folder

Then just create some sort of implementation for the Dictionary class in the
Dictionary.cs file. The code above is not the final version but it works.

I would like to add my own logos, fonts and layouts so the Report Manager
user interfaces better fits in with our site. Is this possible by editing
HTML templates or style sheets?

design goal it can't be guaranteed to be easy to
understand and not everything was exposed.
If you want to change the reporting services site name
displayed in Report Manager you can modify that on
Report Manager's site settings page.

Is it even possible to Import a flat file into SQL 2005?

Is it possible to import a flat file in 2005? It was simple in 2000. The DTS wizard pops-up when I dragged a file into the enterprise Manager. Nothing like that happens in 2005. HELP!
I'm hoping someone knows of a wizard
I am by no means an expert in SQL or T-SQL.

Yes and No...(you're actually asking 2 different questions...:-)...).
If you want to install an additionally Named Instance on your SQL
server, you need the CD. A new instance is more or less to be seen as a
new installation.
If you just want to register an already installed Instance in EM, you
can do it without the CD. Here you just do a new SQL Server registration .

Is getting table-comments out of SQL Server with selects possible?

We have used Enterprise Manager to add comments to all our column
definitions. Unfortunately, the only place we can see these comments are in
the windows of Enterprise Manager. We would like to be able to query for
these comments, just like it is possible to query for the names of all
tables and columns from systables, sysobjects, information_schema.tables
etc.
For example
use master
select * from information_schema.columns
So, anyone who can say where our comments are stored (we sure hope they are
stored inside the database in more or less clear text somewhere).

Is Enterprize manager secure for remote admin?

Hello all,

An ASP.NET website hosting service allows the use of Enterprize Manager to manage the backend database of a hosted asp.net website. This is not done across a VPN and I don't think it could be done on SSL so the question is : How Secure is that? would this be ok for learning but not Ecommerce? Or is it an encrypted session and I paranoid?

HeywadeI wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about storing sensitive e-commerce info in there, no. I think you can rig it to communicate with IPSec, but it depends what the host supports - ask them.

Is DBCC shrinkfile faster then the EM equivalent ?

Using SQL 2000 and wanted to know if DBCC shrinkfile executed from QA is
faster than doing the equivalent through Enterprise Manager by selecting the
file and selecting shrink file to <size>
